Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and documenting patient histories.
- Administer medications and vaccines under the supervision of a physician.
- Coordinate patient care and assist with scheduling follow-up appointments.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Support the overall operations of the pediatric practice, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care.
Requirements:
- Current LPN license or certification as a Medical Assistant in Louisiana.
- Experience in pediatrics or a similar healthcare setting is required. No exceptions!
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and medical software.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine passion for pediatric care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Current CPR certification and knowledge of first aid procedures.
